Important information for customers in the United States

We do everything we can to deliver your order as quickly and carefully as possible. Due to recent changes in U.S. regulations, delivery may temporarily take longer than you are used to. Below you will find the most important information.

 

U.S. import duties (as of August 29, 2025)

The U.S. government has introduced new import duties on products shipped from the European Union to the United States and will abolish the de minimis exemption as of August 29, 2025. Until now, orders below a certain value were exempt from import duties, but from this date onward, every order from the EU to the U.S. will be subject to a 15% import tariff, regardless of the order value.

To make this as easy as possible for you, these costs will automatically be calculated during checkout on our website. Henri Willig will transfer the import duty directly to the U.S. government via UPS. This way, your order will be delivered with as little delay as possible and without additional actions upon delivery.

 

Temporary shipping delay

Due to stricter controls by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), there are currently significant delays in the clearance of food products. To guarantee the quality and freshness of our cheeses, we are temporarily holding new orders (placed on or after September 8, 2025) until we are certain that shipping is safe and responsible.

  • Normally, delivery takes 5-7 business days (UPS Expedited).
  • Please note that there may now be approximately 2 additional weeks of delay before your package is shipped from the Netherlands.
  • We will keep you informed if any changes occur and, of course, provide tracking information as soon as your package is on its way.

We understand that this may be inconvenient and thank you for your understanding. This way, we ensure that our cheeses reach you in the best possible condition.
