The holiday season is now well and truly over. The sunny days are giving way to autumnal scenes and the routine of work and school has begun in full swing. You often hear people say that they are ready for it again. After all, we quite like rhythm.
Rhythm we often keep with food too. Just look at breakfast, lunch and dinner. And most people also have set times for a snack. In that respect, cheese is of course very versatile! After all, you could consume it at all these times.
In the canteen, the lunch boxes open and it is always a treat to see what someone else has brought. Sometimes this is accompanied by slight jealousy because someone else has brought delicious snacks. But the beauty of this is that you can inspire each other.
Our recipe page also features all kinds of dishes with our delicious cheeses. Appetisers from large to small. And on our Instagram, tasty snacks regularly appear. We like to share our cheese with you and give you new ideas of what is possible.
And to return to the title of this blog; 'back to school' / 'back to work', I would like to share a few delicious combinations that you can easily take with you in your lunchbox. Just on a toothpick for example.
Fenugreek cheese & pear pieces
This cheese has a nutty flavour, similar to walnuts. And that combines fantastically with pear.
Goat's cheese & pineapple
The combination of the sweet-sour fruit, together with the mild but full flavour of our goat cheese is one of my favourites.
Aged sheep cheese with dark chocolate
We recently tested it again ourselves, but the sweet yet earthy flavour of the chocolate goes very nicely with the characteristic taste of the old cheese.
So now should you want to put something different in that tin yourself, try these combos as snacks!

This sandwich is simple but so delicious! Preparation: Toast the bread. Meanwhile, cut the onion rings and fry them in the pan until they are soft and discoloured. Mix the honey mustard with the mayonnaise and spread one side of the buns with the mixture. Divide lamb's lettuce among the slices of bread and top with the cheese. Then add the grilled pepper and over that the onion rings. Sprinkle with some chopped walnuts and top with the ungreased slices of bread. Cut the sandwich and then secure it with a skewer. If you cut it twice, it will be extra high. Divide between 2 plates and your simple but delicious sandwich is ready. Enjoy!
